Gold Leather Holt Renfrew Pants....dating?

Hello,
Any thoughts on the age of these pants?
I'm thinking late 1980s/early 90s?

Gold leather jeans, that does seem like the glitzy 1980s but they could well be more recent than that. The biggest clue I would think would be the Holt Renfrew "Studio" line.
I wonder when that came to be?

I think the dating could become clearer if someone puts them on: if they're from the '80s they'll sit high on the waist, '90s ones will sit lower. Like Mary Jane, I would expect gold leather pants to be '80s but I agree that they could be more modern. They look similar in style to some jean style trousers I had in 1992.

I also see early 90s in the styling of these, which is similar to leather and velveteen jeans I had at that point. Also, I had a few gold leather garments in the 90s (including a pair of pants, but they had a lower waist and were from later in the decade).

But, as Tiffany says, the most definitive way to date would be by researching the start of the "Studio" line!

Thanks, I have done some preliminary searching with no luck yet, but will contact the company. I see there are two logos for the studio line.
