Golden Crown by Bristol Leather Motorcycle Set - date?

Hi everyone,

I can't seem to find much on dating Bristol leather jackets. I can see that the company was founded in 1958. Wondering if anyone knows when this set may be from? It's a lovely muted blue colour that may not come through shot against the red curtain. Any help would be appreciated!

It looks 70s or very early 80s to me. The bilingual Canadian label helps to date it.

The bilingual labels were in effect in the 70s. Above is the company information based on the CA number but the dating given
from the website is not always correct as they made changes to it. You could maybe contact the company itself and see if they can help you out.

Okay here is the skinny on CA registration labels:
I wrote and asked about the numbering and a Mr. Yves Chartrand responded. He said that 'Any Canadian manufacturer, processor or finisher of a textile fibre product or any Canadian engaged in the business of importing or selling any textile fibre product can register for a CA Identification Number.' However, when the Bureau upgraded their CA database from a paper to electronic format in 1997 all existing numbers were re-entered as dating from 1997 due to limitations of the program at the time. He noted that the holders of the CA Identification Numbers are responsible for the accuracy of the information in that database and should advise, in writing, the Bureau of any changes.

Yes, I agree with early '80s - the tapering of the legs, the high elasticated waistband and the way the zipper is sewn on the pants. The jacket is more classic, looks more late '70s so I think MJ's response is pretty accurate.
