You all know how important it is to get high rankings on a search Engine for commercial puropses,So I posted this for you all You can pay for them fine if you do. From Google point of view it also need none commercial sites to make people to also use Google . The chicken and egg situation.

At first they let people submit their own web address free and spider the web them self this resulted in a very large number of adult sites been made ranked high which effected Google reputation a lot as you can apriciate.

So Google now use a policy of going to only web sites that can be trusted for contents.Here in the UK it is like the BBC etc.

However since I set up my Blog there are only two links for other sites to it this one and The Fedora Lounge, I have been watching the traffic going to it and every day Google web spider takes a look at my site and it must be adding it to the data base.
This means if you also have a link on displayed here then it is a 50/50 chance the same thing is happening to you site.
Just think how much some companies pay to Google and you might be getting this for free!
Google keep the name of the site they watch very quiet I think.
My advice is to check your meta tags on your index page. and also it's only a 50% change it is this site so why not also join The Fedora Lounge with another user name and make the occasional post there also!

p.s There is also another search engine looking at my site but I have not tracked that down yet. I only have a ip address.

The moderators here will also have your ip address it's a standard security thing so it's just one of those thing every time you go online. It is only your isp if you pay for one or phone company who know your name and address and they cannot give out that info.

Google adwords is the only way you can pay for better ranking....and you are not really paying for ranking..you are advertising to appear on a sidebar or a top bar.

What hurts your google rating is if you have more than 50 links per page outgoing (so you are not trusted content because you are just a link or clickthrough site). Google as far as I know is not censoring adult sites, they are only giving less weight to sites with mostly links and little content, and adult sites in general are very likely to be classified that way. if you have an adult site with a lot of content, then it doesn't really affect those. It also goes the same way for people who get a url and most of their content is affiliate pages.

As far as moderators, ip addresses are not in plain view and it is not something we need to look at very often. Only if there is a connectivity problem.

Yes your are right in every thing you say and I agree with it .But Google do watch sites themselves and that was my point.
