Hi
I wanted to ask about some technical terms of the features of this amazing dress

Are these dolman sleeves?

Is this called a side panel pleated skirt?

Also there is no tag on this dress.

I wanted to ask about fabric...i have found a dress by Rappi that is the same striped lame silver taffeta fabric...what are the chances that 2 different high end dress makers would use the same fabric?I am thinking this is a Rappi

Im not looking for authentication . I am asking what are the chances of the fabric being used by 2 or even more designers?

THANK YOU

Cut as one is good. Not a raglan sleeve, I think that seam that is visible is the bust dart? A dolman sleeve is cut in one with the bodice, top, but has a very distinctive shape. In vintage patterns etc. from this era, they often call this a kimono sleeve, even though it doesn't exactly have a kimono shape either. I would call it a kimono sleeve for that reason.

As for fabrics being used by different producers, even high end producers sometimes ended up using the same fabrics as far as I know. Abraham, a high end silk dealer/producer from Zurich often provided the same fabrics to different producers and designers as their archives show. I've got a book from an exhibition about Abraham that shows pages from "scrapbooks" they kept mostly of fashion magazine cutouts where they were mentioned. I guess they did some exclusive stuff for their best customers like YSL or Balenciaga (silk ghazar was especially developed for Balenciaga by Abraham), but at least some of their fabrics did end up being used by different designers.
