Graphic/Novelty Print 60s shift frocks - anyone seen dated catalogue/editorial spreads?

Reason I ask is because i'm curious as to how these cotton shift dresses with Persian prints were marketed. I'm working up to doing a blog post about them, as I think they're so cool.

Here's a Nelly Don/Don-a-bout tunic I got from Angie/Dorothea's closet a while back:

And a recent acquisition which I love <i>love</i>. By Flair of Miami - same rectangular shift cut as the above.

I'd be really grateful if anyone happens across dating / marketing material for this kind of print and style. Incidentally, I've seen more generic art prints used for this kind of dress, and this Roman themed one which I've just posted about on the blog.

I assume the one on the blog is possibly mid-60s, whereas those two squarer ones pictured are mid to late 60s - anyone agree? Disagree?

Any input welcomed!
Thanks,
Lin :)

Agree on your dating myself. Do you know my reference as far as magazines etc. is concerned has a great big gap from 1962 to about 1970!

Which means I am no help at all as far as evidence goes! Infact I advertised on Freecycle (addicted) for old magazines to even photocopy for reference from this period if people didn't want me to keep them.. no response yet :( Will keep an eye out though.

Alas, Deborah, I'd defend these from rampaging Mongol hordes! If there's one thing I can't resist (well actually, one amongst many), it's this kind of print/shift. I'd like a whole rack of 'em *distant look, sigh*

sorry! :D
