Great boots! But, are they modern repros?

I am just not sure about these. I picked them up a few weeks ago and have had a hard time really pinning them down. Are they late 60's.. or might they be really good repros? What do you think?

I had a pair almost exactly same only in black vinyl, but they had one of those thin foam rubber linings (under a very similar black synthetic lining to yours) that had just crumbled into noxious orange dust!

They had to be dumped :(

Yours look in amazing condition!

I hate that foam dust!! I've thrown away some really cute things with that issue. These really are in fantastic condition.. I guess that is why I was doubting my dating

Very cool boots, and very real-looking to me!

I posted on another boot thread recently that I had a pair of rust vinyl boots in 1970 JUST LIKE THESE that I hated because they required a mature calf, not a kiddie stick leg (I was 12 years old) to fill 'em out.

My mother and I almost came to blows one snowy morning when she insisted I wear them to school... Guess I was a tough tw/een to raise... :saint:

I agree with original, too.

Carrie, I can't believe you fought with your mother because she wanted you to wear cool boots to school so you could look fashionable!

This is just such a coincidence! I visited a fashion doll collector friend yesterday, and she has the "70s Fashion"-book by Taschen, of which I only have they 50s and 60s version. They just consist of American fashion and cosmetics ads from these decades.

Anyway, I looked at that 70s book, and guess what, there was an ad for boots just like these! They were black, but otherwise they looked exactly the same. It was a Montgomery Ward's ad from 1971, and the boots cost $5.88. :bouncy:

I have these boots in black. One of my favourite pairs ever....but the PVC is starting to tear in places and I haven't worked out how to fix them. No devil dust yet, but its perforating like a postage stamp (to use John Bates's phrase) so I guess I need to glue to some kind of backing inside....

Anyway, I'm lusting after these and may well be looking for a replacement pair soon....

So I know I'm dating myself but I had a pair just like them in 1972 that I wore with my hotpants! Love them!!!!!
