Great footage from San Francisco 1905

Nicole, Oh that is SO amazing! I was thrilled. And of course, I checked out every woman and her hat. It is beyond rare to see what people actually wore, not just what was:kiss2: shown in magazines.

Wow...thank you 100 times.

LOVED it!

Amazing to see these people going about their daily routine in footage like this. Also amazing to witness what appears to be some traffic near-misses that don't seem to cause anyone to
bat an eye.

Incredible! Thanks so much!

Sue

According to AAA, the highways act of 1896 set a national speed limit of 20 mph, which was kept until 1930! And some cities had lower limits of 10 mph!

That certainly explains it Jonathan - I love how chaotic it all is, with people going all over the place and yet it all just fits in together. It's odd that there aren't many women but like Barbara, I look note of them all, and what they're wearing.

The whole pace of life would be much different in such a world - I can't help thinking that they all must have been a lot more relaxed and calm than we are! It's relaxing just watching that scene, even with all it's action all over the place...
