Green sandals....vintage or replica?....moda italy

Here's the last of my vintage or not queries for a while.
I assumed these were a 1960s shoe, but now wonder if this style has/had been resurrected lately?
Also, is there an easy way, if it is not noted on the article, to determine if something is leather. patented dyed leather or vinyl/plastic?

Thanks again,
Lauren

Its getting almost impossible, I would have said they were real but for the marking in the instep of the sole - that cowhide outline or 'real leather' marking only appeared in the very early 80s I think, and stylistically, these sandals are c. 1971-72, so these must repros. Besides, if they were early 70s, I would expect these to have crepe rubber or black nylon soles. Stylistically, they aren't the type of sandal coming out of Italy at the time - they look more like the type of sandal coming out of Taiwan or the U.S. at the time. Italian shoe makers weren't fond of that clunky chunky heel.
