Grey Gardens Party (and CD)

Two weeks ago a group of us watched the original documentary and when we gathered a week later to view the HBO version we put on some appropriate head gear. Kind of a Vermont/grey gardens take on the red hat society.

I am reluctant to admit to being the one in the back on the right - I had a sweater on my head with a huge rhinestone brooch I got from Eileen.

There were times watching that film when Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange were indistinguishable from the original Little Edie and her mother.

Anyway - I have the CD and from another post - I have mailed it to the first person, metro cate. I will enclose the following list and you folks can just send it on. After Cate - MC - then Glamoursurf - von (vintagepretties) - Carrie (thevintagebungalow) - Linn (Linn). Enjoy!

I must have missed the list and I can't find it. Please, add me! I so want to see that.

Amanda, looks like a great time. The woman on the left looks a bit like Drew.

GREAT idea for a party! that is TOO funny. My sister is going through chemo right now and has lost all her hair. Other than every third week when she gets an extra dose and she feels like crap for three days, she otherwise feels normal until she looks in the mirror. I may suggest a Grey Gardens party to her for her birthday which is coming up soon. Its a way to have a bit of fun at the expense of the cancer.

I had a party that night as well, though our sweater wrapping was a little cocktail induced and spontaneous rather than planned. And my sweater was too bulky so it makes me look neck-free (I'm on the left, my seamstress & good friend Dulcie on the right)

This is all so hilarious. I think the Grey Gardens headwear theme party is a *great* idea for cancer patients and our friends.

Yippee! I'm second in line for the CD! I'll send it along to Pam as soon as I'm done. Thank you Amanda!

Amanda, your beautiful! and what a fun idea for the party.. i love it! and the head wear is great.

Jonathan, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. Chemo is miserable, it does sound like a great idea to cheer her up a wee bit. prayers and positive thoughts to her.

Ohh cant wait for the cd.. are you sending two, Amanda, the documentary too? anything is wonderful. Will watch it immediately when its my turn and rush it off to Carrie.

thank you! yvonne
