An INTENSE, draped, bombshell dress with a fabulous bolero. My questions.... Late 80s? I find few Laroche dresses for resale and pricing is all over the map. What do you think on pricing?

As always, thanks for any help!

Have no idea as I have never had the pleasure of finding one. But that is one hot hot number! If I could whistle I would!

does look 80's though.

The skirt is tight and knee-length so I would say closer to 1990ish on the nose. Contrary to popular myth already (how quickly how memories fail us), most skirts were long in the 80s. Yes, the mini was re-introduced in 1981, but it was usually fullish and flirty and found little favour -- they were shown every season on the runways, but most women weren't buying them. Knee length was around too and met with slight more success, but not a lot until the very very very end of the 80s and early 90s. Also, the shoulders are not dynasty huge, so I would say 1990/91 on that dress.

Someone please tell me if I'm insane to start it at $75. :o

Nope....I really do think sometimes starting higher shows
a confidence in a special item that you are selling. You are
a reputable seller, and this is a garment/label that you
feel deserves at least $75.00 as an opener.

I know I've mentioned this before, but it may have been way
back on the VC&A boards. My dad knew of an artist in
Western Canada whom painted on denim shirts (this was
in the 80s), couldn't give the things away for $25.00. He
upped his price to around $75.00 (I believe) and couldn't keep up with the demand.

Thanks, Sue! I love the story and am sending you official, virtual pom poms. ;) Now, where do I sign up for your daily, booster messages mailing list? :) I do just love this. There is something about the silhouette, with the bolero, that just jumpstarts my heart.

I agree with what Sue said I would start it High its worth that and much more.
