Hi there,
I have a 40 year old embroidered and beaded waistcoat that was bought in a hungarian craft centre (in Hungary) 40 years ago.
Is is so fabulous that I havent worn it more than twice in the last 15 years! :violins:
I may sell it if I can find it a loving home - but I want to be sure it will be appreciated.
Ive been unable to trace any clothing auctions in Queensland
Can anyone give me advice as to how and where to advertise this?
Thanks and best wishes

weejock, there are no dedicated clothing auctions in Australia but there are some auction houses in Melbourne and Sydney that auction clothes occasionally, eg Leonard Joel's in Melbourne and Lawson Antiques in Sydney but they tend to focus on designer fashions.

To be honest, unless your waistcoat is especially valuable you're probably best off trying ebay and auctioning online, or selling locally to a vintage clothing shop. Note that a dealer will only pay wholesale, not retail. Ebay will get your best result.
