hair clips?

Came across these little leaf clips. I'm assuming they are for your hair? Anyone have any thoughts on dating? No stamps or anything like that.

I'd call them "barrettes" and would date them very late 1950's - early 1960's.

These would be ideal as grecian dress/toga clips however, as there are no teeth to wreck the fabric and the laurel leaves would fit in perfectly!
