It will help if you have a photo of your hat from the side, or underneath, so we can see the shape, but would date as '50s on the available photos. I call them "garden party" hats and they're usually from the late '50-early '60s but yours looks more like an early '50s from what I can see of it so far.

Hi,

That is sooooo pretty! I agree with everyone thus far, it is early 1950s, and I think very early, circa 1950-1954.

I like what Nicole said...I think it would be correct to call it a garden party hat as many of us collectors know what that means. And yes, Mary Jane nailed it....the millinery term for that is indeed a trellis frame!

When you list it, give the measurement across, side to side. I am not familiar with the background on that label, but have seen a few over the years. I suspect it is a short lived trade name for a line of hats put out by a large hat manufacturer. Halo brims were very popular then, so perhaps that was special line of hats with large oval or circular brims and flat crown or no crowns.

Thank you all. It is 13.75 inches across. Not sure I will list this. I am a collector of most all vintage first and foremost. It is so strong which is what amazes me. Really wired strong.
I just like what I like.
