Halston Help Please

Hi Everyone,
Me again with a new question. I have this Halston dress.
It's been hanging in my closet for a while.
It is eggplant colored and is a tank style with a chiffon overlay. Is this from the 1980s?
Does this style of dress have a name. Any keywords would be appreciated.
Sorry it is sort of wrinkled. I gently hand washed it, air dried it, steamed it but maybe I need to send it to the cleaners to get the wrinkles out.

It looks mid-late 70s to me. I think 1977ish would be about right. I can't recall any chiffon cape-like caftan dresses by Halston in the 80s. I can't quite get a feel for the length - it is mid calf?

Thanks, nope actually it is about knee length.
