Handbag help please!

I was recently rummaging around in a "Bargain Box" in a vintage/antique shop that sells mostly militaria & china and found two handbags. This is the oldest but I'm not sure just how old - I was thinking maybe 1910s - 1920s but would appreciate any help with a more accurate date. It is leather and is quite small at 5.5 inches wide & 4 inches high (not including handle). The condition is pretty good with just a bit of wear & tear at the corners and some wear to the clasp. In one of the interior pockets I found a little piece of dried cuttlefish which I assume would have been used as a nail file!

Just to clarify, that's not dried cuttlefish, it is a cuttlefish bone, aka cuttlebone. I remember our parakeet-owning neighbor had one hanging in the cage as a calcium source and beak trimmer.

Yes, I omitted to use the word bone - used to pick them up on the beach for my budgie when I was a child.
