Handmade Crewel Belt - how to date?

Greetings! I am new to VFG and very pleased to be involved. I have acquired a very special, handmade crewel belt from my husband's grandmother. She was born in 1908, and worked as a school teacher in New Mexico in the late 1920's, early 1930's. She lived for 95 years. The belt is crewel work on silk, with hand painted buttons and hook/eye closure. Thank you for any information!

Hi Monroe, please can you show the construction of the belt? - the stitching of the silk, the fastenings. Close ups of the decoration may be of help too.

I'm interested myself to find out as I have some of these buttons I was told were early but I wasn't sure.
