I didn't realize that show predated the sack style! I love those potato sack dresses and Lucy and Ethel's fashionable attitudes.

I didn't realize that show predated the sack style!

I didn't either until today! I thought the show was from 1957, just when the first sack backs were first shown, but I checked IMDB and another source just to be sure, and the show predated the sack-back chemise by a year! Balenciaga, Givenchy, and Norell all showed chemise dresses in 56, but they were slimmer, often belted and migh have a bit of a blouson to the top, but not puffed out like that!

Wow... it's really funny to think of Balenciaga et al under Lucy's sway!

I just noticed that Google's logo today is an old b/w TV set with the Lucy heart on it!
