HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to Dear Old DAD

Hi!

I just wanted to share a photo of my dear old dad, back in the day when he was courting my mom at the local U.S.O during WWII. I think he was cute in his sailor suit! Apparently so did my mom. He is still cute! But he lost most of that wavy blond hair before I was even born.

I had older depression parents. My father passed in 1987. Navy Seabees.

This is my dad - he passed away in 2006. Here he is in in uniform during WWII. I think this was taken in New Guinea.

He looks so young!!!!

Side note:Linn, my father was missing in Papau New Guinea for 6 mo. My poor mom had 2 babies and they did not know where he was. He was in a hospital with malaria. They could of fought side by side.
