Hardware on Dress

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to get some additional thoughts on this vintage dress. There is no label, the seams are pinked and not serged. The dress is a nice heavy eyelet cotton. I haven't, in my experience yet, seen heavy hardware such as the buttons and the belt on vintage dresses and wanted to see what everyone thought about which era the dress is from. My initial thought was the 60s, but I am second guessing myself. The hemline is above the knee and there are teeny tiny shoulder pads attached to the dress. Thoughts?

i agree with joules and maxine, they were added later, probably in the 80s.

i have a few questions:

- what does the dress measure from mid shoulder to hem?
- what kind of fastenings does it have? is there a zipper? metal or nylon, and where is it located?
- can you post an interior shot of the small shoulder pads?

Hi,

Thank you everyone. the dress does not have a zipper. It buttons at the front. The two gold buttons to the right actually button whereas the other two are sewn on for decorative purposes. The dress also has a snap button closure. The dress measures 38.5 from mid shoulder to hem. Thank you and I hope to figure out the era this dress is from :)!
