We had those when I worked at Lerner in highschool, mid 80s. We had TONS of stuff made of that textile!!

Totally 80s, it reminds me of the TV show FAME, they wore stuff like that.

You mean they actually sold shiny liquid lame' bodysuits made of the silky 100% polyester fabric with the glossy silky feeling inside backings similar to the pics I posted at the Lerner's clothing store back in the mid 80's? Got any old pics of them? (If not, don't worry!)

In the UK, there was a very raunchy dance group in the 80's called Hot Gossip. They were pretty outrageous even by todays standards. They would have worn this kind of thing to great effect :embaressed:

yes i too wore such things in the late 80s!!!
I was born in 83.... we actually wore them for our little marching baton twirling group, whatever they were called and I think I even had a turtle neck like shirt exactly the same!
I knew it was totally 80s... I think they were trying to jump into the future, you know terminator, running man, total recall, all those movies (funny I picked on Arnold) hahaha all had shiny clothes as the future so there goes the 80s, no wonder I hate it.... fry dye and kill your hair, make it a puff ball and wear flashing metallic clothes to let everyone know that you fried your hair the best. Oh lets not forget the awful pale makeup with bright orange/pink cheeks and blue eyeliner,,,,yuck!

Yes, I'd forgotten certain looks til I saw that picture. And the woman is, what else, an aerobics teacher! How eighties is that! She used to do an aerobics slot on breakfast TV.
