Is there a name for this style hat?

And and era would be nice..........I'm thinking late 40's early 50's, but I could be way off base.

A 'Juliette' cap is what I have seen them called in period magazines. and late 40s - early 50s looks right to me.

Juliette is what I would have called the shape, but I was wondering about the crimping/layering/stitching part of the construction.

I didn't know if there was a specific name for it or even if it is relevant.

LOL, MS. Is Beehive really a Millinery term? I always think of Beehive as a Hair Style.

Very cute little hat! If you show the inside I can give a better idea of the year it is from. But, as already said by others, it sure does appear to be late 1940's to early 1950's.

Yes, I would call it a Juliet cap. But definitely not a beehive.

Sometimes a hat does not have a specific name other than its basic shape, as the milliner created something he/she felt was "unique".

I agree it is not a classic 60s beehive, but the elements of the construction reminded me of a beehive, so I said with beehive style.

Cute hat, and I agree with the dating. I might call it a "tucked" Juliette cap, as it definitely has a "twist" to its styling.

I'm trying to get this baby written.............so I'm bumping it just in case someone has anything else to add............

So far I'm gonna go with the 47-64 category and call it a Tucked Juliette
