Hat Label Mystery!

Hello everyone!
Thank you for creating this wonderful site. I have a hat which I can't seem to identify. Originally I thought it might be a Mr . John but it just doesn't look like any of his labels I have seen. Any help would be appreciated.

I have not seen that label used on a Mr. John hat.

Mr. John probably had more versions of his label and his lines than any milliner, ever. But I have never seen this one. It almost looks more like Mm than Mr, and the label is sewn on incorrectly and with the wrong color thread. I really have no idea!

Thank you for your input and good observation. I hadn’t thought perhaps the label was not meant for this hat. Interesting! Or it was just an obscure hat maker. The mystery continues. ;)
