Hat Show at Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem

CBS This Morning did a segment this morning about the hat show from the Victoria & Albert Museum at the Peabody-Essex museum in Salem. Not a lot of old hats, but some really fun styles:

Jody and Carrie and I were able to visit the show together and it was tremendous! So many gorgeous hats.... we had a ball. Anyone close enough to go should make the effort. You will not be disappointed.

Yes, I have been wishing I could go. I have the companion book by Stephen Jones which is wonderful. A friend of mine is pretty tight with SJ and she has some of her antique and vintage hats on loan in that exhibit, some of hers were also in the exhibit when it was in London and I got to see a few in person after they came home (the 2 exhibits do not share all the same hats). She took lots of photos when she went to the V & A opening reception in London and I saw a few more of the V &A hats online. But only in person can you see them all. I am sooooo jealous! I wish I could go, you are very fortunate to live close by so everybody should really go.
