I am looking for a super book resource for hats 30s-50s. I have a black turban styled hat that looks 30s. It has a sweet little flap that sticks up. Reminds me of the flapper style with cute gal in a chin length bob. (I am thinking movies)
It is made of black velvet and has a white head size number of 23.

The others are net styled small hats with tiny florals. As well as another that is signed (Leslie) her faux fur styled bowl shaped hats.

I will post with pictures later this week. I am trying to find out what is the best way to give a tiny bit of TLC to them first. Mainly dust.

Thanks, D
(Pictures will come later this week)

When I have delicate or intricate things that need dusting I use my vacuum cleaner in the "blow" setting. Not all of them have this though. If you have access to an air compressor you could try that with a trigger tip - kind of like a gun trigger that lets you control the amount of air pressure that comes out. Air compressors can be really powerful though so proceed with caution~ I have had someone hold the item I'm cleaning and then I hold the hose and can stand a reasonable distance from it so I don't blow it to pieces:D

Another option, though somewhat of an expense, is the canned air you can buy at Staples or sometimes discount stores that is used to clean computer parts.

Hope this helps:dogs:

I use the wand vac with a bit of panty hose over the nozzel, or the compressed air cans like you would clean your computer keyboard with. That really blows the dust out of flowers and such. Just be careful to stay back and not concentrate the spray. With either option, go back and forth lightly, like when you spray paint something.

I like Susan Langley's Vintage Hats and Bonnets and LaRee Bruton's Ladies Vintage Accessories.
(ps, both are available through Amazon, use the affiliate link at the top of the page, and the VFG gets a little kickback!)
