Have you ever seen a zipper belt??

I found this interesting belt. instead of buckle it has a zipper you can slide to size and "lock" it with a small "switch" in center of "buckle". Not sure what to call the parts. It is leather and there is a small tab marked Pioneer 34. It is 40" overall length.
Does anyone know what era this is and what to call it other than a zipper belt? TIA

I've had and sold maternity skirts and pants with a locking zipper that makes the size adjustable, similar to this. This seems to be something other than maternity functional, though!

I believe it's a money belt.

Money belts have a zipper that opens a pouch for hiding money. This zipper is the "buckle" and how the belt stays on and adjusts size.

I was thinking maybe it could be military?

It is odd! I never thought of a maternity belt either!

There's no way it's a "maternity belt," but I was relaying that I've seen a locking adjustable zipper used in maternity fashion of the 50s. So, in researching the zipper, as opposed to the belt, that might be helpful?
