Heading to San Francisco

I'm heading to the West Coast-drving from Seattle to San Francisco. Wondering what vintage shops people would reccomend in SF? I'm pretty sure I will be in Portland too so any shops there that people reccomend would be helpful.

I am interested generally in 50's fashions.

Any advice would be appreciated.

That's a beautiful trip!

I can recommend Avalon in Portland, the owner is a member of the VFG! Maybe she has some other suggestions.

SORRY TO BE LATE WITH THIS; I could not log in yesterday???? Vintage stores in Portland outnumber STARBUCKS!...but I would recommend these as MUST SEES, and almost all are downtown.

EVERYTHING other than Keep 'Em Flying is within easy walking distance.

Most are exclusively vintage and plenty of it. Some, like us, offer only pristine condition; others are more casual. Some are purists, other mix vintage and contemporary. MAGPIE is polyester heaven. All are amusing.

There's PLENTY to see, but this gives you a start. Wear
comfortable shoes!

Our hours are NOON-6, 7 DAYS. Hope to see you there!
 
That is great. I did a search and came up with a tonne of stores in Portland but your reccomendations will help me choose which to check out.
