Heard of Stanton Jrs vintage label?

I currently have a piece by Stanton Jrs. "Petite"

When I got the piece, it was estimated to be around 40s/50s. There are no content labels for the fabric. It is really light weight. I thought it might be some type of cotton blend or rayon fabric. It does have interior lining. It can be viewed at favoriteforgottenjeans.com under Stanton midnight blue dress/jacket. My research did not lead me to a great wealth of information about manufacture. I would appreciate any insight. I placed it in other vintage because I did not want to guess on its true age. Many thanks for your time.

It looks 50s to me. I've had the label before but like you, never found much information on it. Its a nice label, likely mid-range in pricing....not designer but solid and well made. Love teh jacket on yours! ~Ang

Ang,
Thank you so much for replying? I am going to hunt for a really good fabric source.

I don't know if you saw my other post about Burberrys vest? That can be more of a challenge. But I do love 80s vintage name brand pieces as well huge (Ralph Lauren) fan.

I just visited your site. I adore your store!

I have wanted a store sense I was about 17 years old (hoping to go to fashion design/merchandising school). A lot of college later in a different field (& 21 years later). I am now a stay-at-home mom and following my passion and love affair with clothing. My lil store is online with the hopes of consigning in the future.

I sincerely valued your time and consideration. I am new to the vintage world but eager to learn. Thanks again for your feedback.

Regards,
Denise

No problem, Denise, and welcome! Wish I could give you more info...and I sure dont know a thing about the vest! I went to school for visual merchandising too, was in display for 10 years before going into other retail and ending up selling vintage on eBay. You'll get to where you want to be, if vintage is something you love just stick with it!!

looks VERY late 50's, but more early 60's to me; my aunt had a dress in red almost EXACTLY the same, it was early 60's. VERY cute, Denise

i've seen that label before, (think we've sold dresses by them years ago...) but don't know much about it.

if that were a bigger size i'd snap her up in a second! great price, too, GOOD luck w/her!!
