Just thought I'd post as I have been pretty absent from the boards, and wanted to say hi! :hiya:

Like everyone summer is busy busy trying to keep selling. I've opened another room at the antiques centre so my spare room is now nearly cleared of rails (just the top floor to go, lol!). Have been asked to help out (i.e. provide stock and models) at a fashion show in the 40s theme cafe at the antiques centre in a few months so am starting to think aout that too.

Website is a little static as my fab camera got very poorly and is currently at a Nikon service centre being poked at. Hopefully it'll be back soon but in the meantime I'm concentrating on b and m stuff and getting my chaotic stock/house in order over these few weeks before the loooong summer holidays!

Other stuff - decided to convert the old brick outbuildings attached to the house into a studio/office. No small feat as needs new walls, roof etc. but will mean I have a seperate area where I can 'go to work'. Also re-landscaping the garden at the same time so that's all good fun (and taking up every spare minute!) So both inside and outside is chaos.

Oh, and I joined a gym as I am desperately unfit (and want a smaller behind). So that's been taking up my time too! :D

:hysterical: That is so funny.

You have inspired me, Harriet. Me thinks I will begin cleaning my Ebay room. If it is organized, maybe I will be, too. Of course, I have another location that needs to be cleaned, too. Guess you gotta start somewhere.

I am really in the same boat. Just about to start remodeling my kitchen. Also have been working in the yard and just finished cleaning our brick patio and planting the last of my annuals before it gets too hot.

No time to list a lot but the way Ebay is going, it is not much use. I tell myself to take off June and July from Ebay every year. Still want to get some more listed on my website and begin getting Fall things ready.

Everyone is always busy in the summer!
 
sounds like a load of hard graft!!! its my greatest wish to have a stockroom and space for shop/antiques centre...(after health of my family that is...oh and more choclate and enough wealth! to go round ...LOL)

Sounds like you are in the midst of some great projects this summer--bet you'll be feeling very pleased with yourself come fall! (I am envious that you have outbuildings large enough to convert to real workspace--our only "outbuilding" is a glorified shed...)

It sounds like you'll be getting a bit of a workout before you even venture into the gym...

hi harriet! i totally understand, my list is long, too and my visits here have been brief and few the past few weeks

good luck w/them all!! can you post pics on your progress later???
 
wooooo you have got a lot of things to do harriet...... just think of it when its all done.......

i am hoping to get a bigger unit.. as i have outgrown the one i got in only 2 months

as i want to transfer everything to the unit... and work from there rather than the house... as my ebay room has now spilled over to the kitchen./dinning area.....my bedroom ....the landing area.....the hall way...lol......

i need to regiment my time......

thank you for posting...as you have just given me the kick up the butt i need... to start organising.....myself....
