I know the black fur is Lammorie Argentine broadtail lamb, but I not sure if the cuffs, and collar are rabbit fur, or chinchilla thanks:)
I'm posting picture of the lamb inside, and the entire coat. great deal from thrift store for $8.50

It is a great find for a great price. The black lamb is not broadtail, it is too curly and looks too thick as well. The trim does look like chinchilla, but somehow I am not sure as it is not a dense as most I have seen. It may be rabbit dyed to resemble chinchilla. Nice coat.

Hi Sheila, Lovely coat and a great deal too.
The trim is indeed Chinchilla fur.
I believe the body of the coat is American processed broadtail lamb which starts out as an older type of lamb such as Persian, Astrakhan, or Karakul whick all have a distinctive tight close curl but are from different regions. The lamb is then sheared close to the skin to give the distinctive moiré pattern that natural broadtail has. Yours would have been dyed as well to make it black. I also actually think I can see stamping on the skin portion of your coat which says PROCESSED IN USA which would further confirm this.
