help again with 2 very nice dresses please

Hi And good evening, so sorry, its me again,
I have a really nice lot of what i think is early 60s clothing, i dont have much experience with this era, but i do like these very much
The first is a John Charles, i like the print best and it has a hood, which seems to look like it needs to hang on the back of the head? but im not sure?, it has a zipper front to the waist and pretty tassel long ties, and angel wing sleeves, its also very long

And the second dress again i think is early 60s, a tunic type top, but the print is wonderful, but i think the characters are from a childrens story book, i just wondered if anybody recognised the print

they both look more 70's than 60's to me

the print on the second one is similar to a Holly Hobby sort of look; it could be one of (many) prints that sprang up once HH took off in her popularity streak (early 70's)

I wouldnt call myself an expert by any means but these do look 70's to me, as well. I have a 70's maxi dress with a seperate tie jacket. The jacket has a hood. Here's some pics:

Not exactly the same but close. I agree with Mary that the style of the second dress looks early 70's.

Hello! I'm glad to meet you! :hiya:

You're very welcome. Again, I'm FAR from being an expert and am still always learning myself! Soooo much to learn but I LOVE it.

Your dresses are lovely too--and so unique! I'm sure we'll be sharing a lot of knowledge back and forth over time. Have a wonderful evening!

Sincerely,
Tara

Carrie and Tara,

I would say all your dresses are 70s. Carrie, love the one with the hood!
