I purchased these but need some help authenticating and identifying what year these are from, also what model? the back tag is destroyed and not readable. the care tag the seller provided doesn't show if made in USA. the inseam seams to be single stitch, as well as the arcuates and pocket stitching looks to be single stitch as well. I can't tell from the pics if there is a number stamped on the back button. there is a v stitching along near the back button.

Are these authentic Big E vintage Levi's? what model are they? what year are they from?

Hi there... I am very unsure about these. First the red tag is big E but the care instructions have little e. It's hard to tell what color the overlock stitching (interior) but my experience is they're either white or orange, orange being the older. When you look for this, you look for a selvage edge which I don't see so these aren't 1990s to modern...

But I think they are 80s, just not sure where on the decade.

I am wondering... what's on the back of the care label? Right now, from the label I see here, I also think 1980s but more early-mid. If there's a location as to where manufactured, you can pin down the year better.

In the 80s a lot of Levi's were being made overseas and how they were made changed a little from place to place.

I hope this helps. : )

Thanks for your reply! I'll be receiving these in the mail today, so I'll be able to add more photos.

So, do you think these are authentic Levi's?

I received the jeans in the mail and took more photos. I am thinking these are definitely fake as they have green stitching!? no backs to the rivets, the wrong text on the rivets, nothing on the back of the front button, no branding on the pull zipper, no sign of where they were made. i'm very disappointed.

We at VFG cannot authenticate. We try to help by discussing an item so you can research it.

What does the back of the care instructions label say? Is it blank? Not sure that's typical... on the back of most there's info about manufacturing location, fiber content, etc, and RN # and/or style number. There's none of that. And the font on the label doesn't look right.

My 2 cents.

I'm still a novice compared to most, but I have seen a lot of Levi's and these would make me suspicious. First, the interior tag looks wrong - small "e", not manufacture location, and the whole formatting is different than any I have seen, just looks off. Also, the extra fabric inside the pocket looks messy, which is something you usually wouldn't see in Levi's, especially big E. The patch being gone doesn't help, and it looks like there is no stamp on the back of the button, which could help ID the location it was manufactured. Again, this is just my opinion and I could be wrong. I would question these myself.
