Help date this blouse please.

Hello

I am seeking help to date this blouse.

Paisley print always makes me think 1970's but the seams make me think older.

The label is:- Designed by Arne, a second label says Lot Size 12.

All the seams are 'zig zag' cut and there is gauzy fabric lined under the front seams where the buttons and buttonholes are.

Collar has a velvet trim, sleeves are 3/4 length with button up cuffs. Buttons are shiny and have a diamond type pattern (hope that makes sense).

I should also add that there are buttons down the front but not on the waistband.

My guess is it's Silk but any tips how I can ID the fabric would be appreciated.

This one looks like it might be a silk twill. Have you clipped it to the mannequin or is this the actual shape? The "zig zag" seams are called "pinked" and they're done by zig-zag scissors, called pinking shears.

I think your top is '60s or perhaps '50s, depending on what the shape (unclipped) is.
