We just happened to find the lovely wool coat. Would love to know the date and the designer. If anyone knows anything that would be great.

I am familiar with Cyreld since she was from around here. I thought I had placed her bio in the label resource but I guess not. I’ll put it on my to-do list.

Cyreld was a high-end boutique located in Brookline, Massachusetts near Boston and showcased the designs of Mrs. Cyreld Spiller. The boutique operated from 1942 until 1995 and supplied gowns for many television shows from the 50s through the 80s. Among its longtime customers were Audrey Meadows, the Jackie Gleason girls, and the Bess Myerson television show. Miss Spiller also supplied wedding party dresses for Whitney Houston. (Boston Globe, (Boston, Massachusetts), Mon. 10 Nov 1997)

Some of Cyreld's dresses are at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
Here are two example:

The first one seems to have similar front closures. Yours I would date to the 70s.

I have a dress in my shop right now too.

There is some damage that I can fix. She was going to wear it in a show. It's just that sometimes one of the lambs jumps. I would hate to see a hoof print in the wool fabric. We are going to NAILE in Louisville. For the Leadline Show. Here if you want to view what it looks like. https://www.youtube.com/live/4zWAj2qCACw?si=pLGfSQaOLhjd8lGB

We normally make our wool outfits. Was going to make a coat but show this at a thrift store and bought it. Hoping it would save me some time.

Thank you for posting a link to the wool fashion show. I absolutely loved it!! Nice to see some vintage worn, too!

@Jeepchicy - Oh my gosh - that mini fashion show at the livestock show - how adorable. When is the show? What size is your daughter? I bet some of the members of the Vintage Fashion Guild would love to help her with a wool outfit.

It starts on November 7th. I believe that the leadline show is that Friday. She is a woman's dress size 2-4 and only 5ft tall. This vintage coat is a size 8 and fits great. It's tight in her arms but we are farm girls.
