Help Dating 1920s/1930s Dress

I have several dresses that I picked up at an estate and would like your help with dating them.
This dress has snaps and hook and eye closures. The silver material is a metallic material. It is lined with black silk. The back is a low cut V with a bow at the center of the V, but I could not figure out how to get both images to show up in the posting. I am guessing that the dress is from the late 20s to early 30s, but would appreciate your opinion for confirmation. Thank you, Kay Thompson

That is lovely and I would say 30s.

In order to post the other photo side by side.

If you host your photos on a site, you just need to use the
photo box above, which has the mountain and sun, (yellow frame)
and copy and paste by copying the image location or cutting and pasting the url link.

to keep them side by side, just put in the photos one by one and don't leave a space, they'll show up side by side.

I agree with 30s.

Yes, if you are attaching photos from your compter files, you can only add one per post.

If you use flickr or photo bucket to host your photos then you can add as many as needed per post as MJ mentioned above.

There is a small rectangle at the left knee that is just slightly darker, do you think this will effect the value? I have had several dresses ruined at the drycleaners and am afraid to try to clean it.

This kind of metallic fabric has a tendency to tarnish as there is silver thread used or sometimes gold thread.

I would not have it cleaned myself.

Just be sure to mention the problem and show a close-up photo of it.

It may affect the price some, if you are putting up for auction, it will depend on who wants it as to what you will get.

I am opening a vintage clothing store in York, South Carolina, which is 15 to 20 minutes south of south Charlotte NC. We are in the new location, but have just started pricing everything. Do you have any idea of what this should be priced at or is that a taboo topic?
