Help dating 90s Gianni Versace couture dress

Hi,

I’m trying to work out what collection or year this Gianni Versace dress is, it’s from the couture line so I think it might have been a runway piece? Similar labels I’ve found have been from early 90s collections like 1993 but the I can’t figure out from the label code - thanks

Regarding dating, I hope someone else will chime in. But just to clarify something, even though it's called "Couture" in the brand name, this is not a Haute Couture item (=only a few made on order for the few who can afford it) but a ready to wear item, the label clearly points to a commercially made item.

Judging by the presence of the fabric content and care label, this is not a couture runway piece. As Karin said, it would have been an item sold in retail. I get a more modern vibe than 90s too but it could be late 90s.

I just remembered ... we talked about the Versace Couture label before here: https://forums.vintagefashionguild....ce-couture-ss97-blouse-rarity-swarovski.75990 - similar labels, same Italian manufacturer. According to @GemGem 's information, it looks like they produced for Versace until the late 90s.

I'm pretty sure that's modern.

It's definitely 90's, and yes, it's a RTW range, but it was Versace's highest range of RTW.

I'm wondering if it is from the spring 1998 collection. They had a lot of high neckline dresses in a similar style. Earlier 90s featured a lot of scoop necklines and bustier type dresses, and the WILD prints!
