Help dating a beaded purse - early 1900s?

Hi,
It is pretty. Somehow I am getting the feeling that this is a re-hash or re cycle of an older frame with some beaded remnant sewn to the frame. Sort of a marriage? The beading looks as if mixed with some sort of long fiber like mohair or boucle knit? As if cut from a dress or garment? Or are my eyes fooling me?
The frame looks 1920's, with its original inner silk roses around the frame, but the beading does not resemble 1920s beadwork to me.

Very pretty, but I agree with Barbara that the body looks later than the frame. I'm stumped by the combination of beading and fabric, which isn't the sort of textile you'd expect to see purse beading on, so her hunch that it came from a dress or garment sounds correct to me...
Also, the chain is a different color than the frame--perhaps that, too, isn't original?
