Help Dating a Halston Jacket

Hello!

Can anyone help me date this Halston? It's black velvet with no closure. I've seen this label on 70's pieces but I personally have little knowledge about Halston. Thanks!

What is that other little tag on the bottom? That might be a clue.

That is the older label for the real stuff designed by Halston in the 70s and early 80s. Your model looks like a young Carolyn Jones.

I would date that as very early '80s, about '80-82.

Thanks so much for the help! The bottom label just states that it is a size 16. My model Molly does look a lot like Carolyn Jones. I've never noticed before! She was very flattered when I told her the comparison.
