Help dating a knit dress

Hi there,
I have a lovely knit dress that is stumping me. At first I thought 30s, but then I put it on and it seemed more 60s, but the length seems too long? (I obviously have a lot to learn still!) The dress doesn't have a makers tag (or any tags). I have tried to find info on the brand of the belt, "Hy-Ten," and have found that name associated with two fabric/sewing brands in the 60s-80s, so maybe that's it? Any comments to stop my mind from bouncing all over the decades would be greatly appreciated :)!
Thank you so much!
Steph

I agree with 60s from the construction of the belt mostly. It does channel the 30's look but I suspect if you did the bow tie up it would look more typically 60's.

Funny, I have a totally different dress in cotton voile, with that exact same belt backing and construction. Other elements are making me wonder about dating, but do you think that means mine is also likely to be around the 60s, Melanie? Or does that belt span a few decades, do you know? I'll post pics when I have them, but advance info re the belt would be useful.

Hi Ruth! That's interesting and I am looking forward to seeing the pictures and hearing what others think. Not sure if it's helpful, but this is all I could find on "Hy-ten." I saw that another etsy seller had a "hy-ten" belt that had a registered trademark, while mine did not. So I googled that and here are the two links for possible companies that made the belt: https://trademarks.justia.com/724/23/hyten-72423290.html and https://trademarks.justia.com/722/22/hyten-72222010.html
Not sure if they are related to the belt-maker, but it's all I could find. Have a lovely day!

Thanks Melanie! I had no idea how to tie the collar, so that makes sense.
