Help dating a skirt and is anyone familiar with this label?

I have this skirt.. is this 40's? Is there a name for the hip treatment that this skirt has? And lastly is anyone familiar with the label? I have googled without luck..

It is Rayon, with fullness in the back, back Conmar zipper with a button with horizontal button hole. Sherwood of California is the maker.

Lovely skirt, unusual shaping to it with the fullness at the back and not the front. The front trim looks like a triple band of piping...wish I could be of more help but that's all that's coming to mind right now.

Thanks Mary Jane. When I first put it on my manni I thought that I had it on backwards as the label is on the side opposite the zipper but I was sure that the zipper should be in the front.. do you think I have it on backwards? It does fit better around the hips and across the fullness of the back of the dress form this way.
