I recently bought this adorable round straw hat at a flea market, it doesnt have a label but does have a ribbon band on the inside. I was curious what time perod it is from, please help.
It is a cute summer hat. Without a label, a hat like yours is difficult to date accurately. It could date from anywhere from the 1970s to fairly recent. I am fairly sure is not older than 1970s. It appears to be an inexpensive Asian straw with a glued on ribbon and turkey and fowl feathers.
That is cute! And I'm thinking 70s, maybe into the early 80s. I used to wear a lot of hats in the 70s, and my mom wore a lot in the 80s and 90s, and this looks, as Barbara says, no earlier than 70s, but I don't think later than 80s.
Yes, sorry to agree but it is not rare at all. I wish I could tell you different, but it is a fairly low end hat, mass produced of an inexpensive straw with inexpensive trimmings. Probably imported from China, Phillipines, etc. But it is rather cute.
