Help Dating a Top...Edwardian Perhaps?

Hey everyone! I'd love your help dating a bib-style top that I have. The person that I got it from called it Victorian but it feels more modern to me, especially with the tag. I was thinking Edwardian or even early '20s, any thoughts? Also, what would you call this top? A camisole? I'm assuming it is some type of undergarment. Thanks!!

That actually looks like a chemisette (for wearing under a suit jacket) to me. Probably 1940s.

I agree, it looks either early 1940s, or could be 1930s as well. It is beautiful, a really nice one!

Agree with '40s, it's a dickey front to go under a suit. I really like them, you see them in various eras but I think the label puts yours in the '40s.

I had one very similar and was told by the owner (who got it from their mom) that it was late 1930s. Had been worn as part of an outfit for that train ride on their honeymoon.

Yes, definitely a dickey. I bought a stash of these NOS last year and did a little investigating. I have 1940s and early 50s mail-order catalogs that show similar ones.
