Help Dating beaded clutch (envelope? style)

Hey everyone...wondering if this is 30s or 40s or later?
Also, is this style considered an 'envelope' or am I making that term up?

Hi, Lauren! I am no expert, but your bag looks very similar to beaded bags I've seen dated to the 50's and 60's. Hopefully a real expert will come along soon!

I'm not a "real" expert on beaded bags, but it looks like '50's or '60's to me, too.

I have two very similar beaded purses next to me right now, soft in construction, made in Czechoslovakia and Belgium. The difference is the earlier examples tend to have the hand straps on the back for putting your hand through while dancing. The design on yours is also a little more oriental in style, the shape more angular, and I suspect it is a bit stiffer in construction from what I can see in the photo.

It is quite flat and 'tight'/stiff ! Funny you mention the strap,as I was about to post this one for dating....so consensus is 50s/60s? And is 'envelope' clutch a 'real' term?
