I need some help with this blouse. Using company info and trademark sites, I've narrowed down the dates, and I believe the blouse dates to the 80s or 90s. The geometric pattern makes me think 80s, but I wanted a second opinion.

Im actually thinking 90s?

A big tip is the labels, in the 70s care and fabric contents became required ( I can not remember exact date mis 70s?) but there were no regulations on how that was, so they will deffinately look different than 80s labels. In the 80s standard care symbols and content requiremnts came out so the labels will be more uniform and much fuller of print.

Hope that helps

I'm thinkin' very late 80s with this--although it's hard to tell late 80s from early 90s a lot of the time, there was a period in the late 80s when polka-dots were HUGELY popular. I had several polka-dot dresses and outfits ca. 88/89 from my own wardrobe and a couple of pieces I've picked up as vintage in more recent years.

Of course, polka dots never really disappear and are always popular, so could be 90s, too. If those are slightly dropped shoulders, which it looks like in the photo but I can't really tell, I'd still go with late 80s.

My main reasonin is small polkadots were popular in the 90s and bigger ones in the 80s. But as anne said hard to tell on a hangar the actual shape.

Woops, didn't see the squares--but in any event, as you alluded to, the "polka-dot" type of pattern was popular then. And, as Jennifer said, it does seem as if slightly bigger dots were more popular in the 80s, but I think they got very small in the 90s, didn't they?
