help dating clip back earrings

A pair of darkened brass tone metallic earring with clip backs. I'm thinking 1950s or possibly early 1960s? Though I have to admit the darker metal is throwing me a little--could this just be age, or do people think they were originally darker?

Hi, those are cool. I think they are 1950's modernist style, and are supposed to be dark, or japanned metal. Any markings on them?

Wonderful earrings! I agree, 50s Modernist--I can imagine these in copper!
