Help dating cropped army jacket with A5 patch

Hi Everyone,
The writing on the tag on the inside pocket is completely worn of it's words. Any sense of when this might be from? I'm assuming the A is for Airborne but can't seem to find this particular patch referenced anywhere.

That's a 5th Army patch, the rank is Staff Sergeant. So Infantry. Is there another patch on the right shoulder? The jacket is later WW2 to Korean War era.

there is another Staff Sergeant patch on the other sleeve. Thanks Hollis!

you're welcome! These started coming in the field in 1944 and were being phased out by 1956.
