First time poster!
Need help dating a pair of deadstock Montgomery Ward PowrHouse boat sail overalls. I was thinking pre WWII but I'm new to a lot of this so I figured a second opinion would be nice.
No WPL or RN
Says Union Made but no Union label
Button fly
I've included pictures of any discernible marking.
There are no markings on backs of the buttons

Welcome!

Very cool overalls, especially because they're NOS! I found a similar (or maybe identical) pair online that were dated 50s.

The graphics on the paper tag on yours looks to be from that era as well.

I have some MW catalogs from that era and will look at them later to see if I can find anything more definitive.

I just looked at my 1947 MW Catalog and don't see any Powerhouse workwear. However, there is Powerhouse workwear in my 1961 catalog, but with a more modern looking logo. So my guess is that these are from the 50s, after MW started this label, but before they modernized the logo.

Wish I had a 50s MW catalog to check for you!

Good luck with them - men's vintage workwear is very popular.

Thanks for the input! I thought pre WWII because of the lack of WPL and RN#'s. I know technically WPL is for wool but I have some early 50's polyester ties that also have a WPL.
Also was thrown off by lack of markings on the back of the buttons . Thanks again for the help!
