I recently bought this dress, which I assume may actually be loungewear or a nightgown. The vintage shop it's from also had it in that section (mostly comprised of 1940s garments) and at first glance, I thought it could be 1940s as well. However, the more I look at it, the more I'm not so sure!
a few notes
- it's faded in a few areas which makes me think of other garments around the 1940s that have faded similarly. the full length photos make it appear quite faded overall, but it's not. there's slight fading throughout but more noticeable on pink areas.
- no labels. I'm also not sure of the fabric either since I'm not very good at identifying fabrics, sorry!
- there's a tie starting underneath the bust to be tied in the back. I have it worn loose, but when it's tighter, the sleeves and bust area kinda frump up a bit.
- it opens completely in the front and closes with buttons, it also snaps underneath one of the collars.
