help dating dress

I need some help dating this. It's from a very fashionable 92 years olds wardrobe. (my husbands grandma) Her daughter (70 yrs) threw out most of her vintage clothes (booo hoo!) but I saved a few things.

Is it early 60's? i'm guess not late 50's but could it be closer to 70s? (something about the polkadots says late 60s to me.)

It definitely looks 60's- but i'd wait for the experts to narrow it down lol! It's a great dress, Is that the orginal tag hanging from it?

It is the tag! Grandma worked in the fashion industry all her life and kept everything after the war!! (They had everything they owned taken by the Canadian gov during the war when they were put in internment camps!)

It's quite short but looks long in that pic?! It comes just above my knee and I'm 5'4"

I am no expert but it looks early to mid sixties to me. Maybe around 64?

The stiff brocade and above knee length, plus the stand away mandarin collar are all typical of the mid 60s, 1964-1968
