Help dating embroidered net coat?

Hi all,
I have an embroidered net coat that I am having a very hard time dating.
The coat is open except for 4 eye/hook closures at the top that I believe to have been an addition at some point and not original intent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

I suspect this is lingerie/nightwear, rather than a coat. That said I'm not sure on dating either!

I can't be certain but it looks circa 1910 - 1915 to me. It looks like tambour lace. I have often had bedspreads with this similar kind of lace.

It is lovely. I think this is modern, done in an Edwardian revival style.

I was also wondering if you can tell what the lace is made of, as if it's nylon, that will help dating.

Thank you all! The net is definitely not nylon but cotton. I was thinking this could be needle run or darned net. I do not think it is tambour net as I cannot see any chain stitches with my naked eye. Need to get a magnifying glass! There are seams at the shoulders, arm openings & down each side. I've taken a few more pics of the seams although I couldn't get as close-up as I would have liked without the photo turning out blurry. Any additional insight would be appreciated!

It looks to me like a late Edwardian peignoir, or morning gown, to wear while writing letters and having breakfast before dressing for the day.

I thought it was a synthetic like nylon or polyester, modern pink net fabric. If it is cotton and now after seeing the close ups, I agree it could well be antique Edwardian period.

It is very very pretty.

The lace is machine embroidered net, probably Schiffli. I believe your robe dates to the 1950s.
