I'm getting away from the purses for a bit and going to get in to these feathers! First, the two light colored pillbox hats are actually a nice shade of light pink...the camera and my bright yellow walls distorted their color a LOT in these photos.
The later union tags make me think 50's or 60's. Not sure if they were ever worn (yet!). Any help dating them would be great - or if you know anything about the union tags to help date!
Winkelman's was a great department store chain in MI that opened in the 20's and closed in the late 90's.
First the fur, I like it, but was this a 50's thing/style?
Then there are the two pastel pink ones that look orangey/dingey in the photos. They are smooth and shiny. One has sequined/beaded fabric backed leaves decorating it (each glued to a feather).
The green one must have been one that the previous owner wore out when she was feeling a little less conservative...the form on this one has a stamp under the feathers that says "Terry Sales Corp" 100% Wool, New York.
The last two are feather headpieces, the multi colored one has some wear on the feathers.
Thanks again for your help!!!
